I am confused why I don’t see a “Game Controller” section under general on my Mac

I am connecting the 8bitdo Lite 2 which says it’s compatible with Apple devices on their site. When i follow the instructions, I don’t see “Game Controller” under General of system settings.

trying to remap the controller buttons according to some keys on my keyboard.

the game controller does show up under the Bluetooth. The firmware is updated.
