Adding text to photos in iphone 12 mini when markup does not appear as an edit/ three dot option

Many confusing methodologies on line on how to enable markup function . Most make reference to seemingly non-existent sub categories on settings/Name/Cloud/ etc.. iOS 16.6

Help please!

Photo Editing Issue on my iPhone after iOS 18.1.1 update I updated to iOS 18.1.1 What did they do to photo editing , when you add text to photo , the editing screen pops up in the middle of the photo covering the text address bar , and you cannot see editing, example if you want to edit size of text you can’t see it , cuz editing screen covers text address bar [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Photos. Go to Photos and select the photo you want. Tap Edit, then tap the Markup button . Tap the Add button to add text, shapes, and more.
