Does anyone get “See phone for instructions” when using Apple Pay with your Apple Watch?

I have had this problem happen two days now. That is if it happens it happens several times in a row. But recently I noticed a message on the phone "unlocking watch" even if I had entered the password on the watch the same day.

Since then I have assured myself that the watch were unlocked according to the phone and I have had no problems yet. It seems as if the watch does not understand fully that it is unlocked.
