Music Miniplayer not showing song title etc. (Ventura)

By default Miniplayer used to show you the title of the current song playing... Now? Nothing except play/pause and back/forward buttons.

The only way I have found to get it to display, and it's only a temporary fix, is to click the 'playing next' list to make it open, click on the song playing next (not switch to it, just single-click to make it highlight) and then close the list. After that the info displays.

This issue seems to have been around for a couple of major iterations of the OS now, you'll find reports back to Monterey etc.

Seems to be an annoying bug unless of-course anyone knows how to switch the track info back on.

Suggestions?

p.s. - If anyone tries to tell me this is 'a feature, not a bug...' then please explain how such a silly thing is useful feature?

I have a faint recollection of encountering a similar issue in the past. While I can't provide the exact solution, you might want to give this a shot:

  1. Begin by hovering your mouse pointer over the mini-player window, and then move it away.
  2. Experiment with resizing the mini-player window, starting with making it larger and then reducing its size.

Does that make a difference?
