THANKS, VikingOSX. Noted and appreciated.
I've noticed you've been a rockstar on other occasions!
I have been using Apple computers since the early Performas of the 90's, OS7.3, ClarisWorks, and the Apple Team, tech support folks and Apple Community of that era.
Haven't been so fortunate in getting the answers I need recently, especially from the Pages Team. Recently purchased an expensive new M2 laptop computer after being assured my problem was with hardware that was 'irretrievably glitched'.
Mind you, every person involved was fantastic and I appreciated their time and effort.
HOWEVER, subsequently I resolved the problem on my own, not through brilliance on my part, but through stubborn doggedness and the willingness to be like a monkey playing with a typewriter (keyboard). That computer continues to serve faithfully, as so many of my Apple's have through the years.
I turned to the Community this time in the hope that other brilliant 'monkeys' might have figured this particular matter out. I had Quit and Restarted App; Restarted Computer; Shut Down and Started Computer again; played every game I could think of with the App after decades of problem solving with ClarisWorks, AppleWorks and Pages; and finally, unexpectedly, and not after any further effort, today the "fit to width" command began working again.
Who can explain?
Thanks again, VikingOSX; you're way cool.
