Signing out of TV Provider not working

After going to settings and signing out of the tv provider, ESPN app still says signed in to TV provider. This renders my recent subscription to ESPN+ useless.


How can I get the ESPN app to sign out from the TV provider?

Change or sign out of your TV provider

If you change TV providers, you can remove your current TV provider account information or set up a different one:

1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Settings app.
2. Tap TV Provider.
3. Tap Remove TV Provider or Sign Out.
4. In the pop-up that appears, tap again to confirm.
5. Choose your new TV provider from the list, then follow the steps to sign in.
