HDMI Lighting Adaptor Doesn’t Work on my new iPhone 14 Pro

i can’t get my Apple HDMI adapter to work with my new iPhone 14 Pro. When I plugged th adapter into my phone I received the same message others have noted “Accessory Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes”. Other post have suggested it’s an issue with the TV, but the adapter works with my wife’s iPhone 14 Max and my son’s iPhone 12. We are all using iOS 16.6

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

That was the most useless response ever. It’s clear my post I have a working control group. Please don’t clutter my discussion with your Level Zero support.

Hello tomfromrocklin,

For difficulties with your Lightning Digital AV Adapter, you'll want to follow the recommendations below:

1. Disconnect and reconnect your adapter from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and from your TV, monitor, or projector.
2. Make sure that your VGA or HDMI cable works, since the issue could be with the cable.
3. Remove any VGA or HDMI extension cables or converters. Accessories that convert a VGA or HDMI signals to different video formats (DVI, Composite, Component) aren't compatible.

You can also find those steps in this resource: About Apple Digital AV Adapters for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Should that still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this behavior further.

Take care.
