My phone number somehow got disconnected from my Apple ID

My phone number somehow got disconnected from my Apple ID, it is asking for a verification sent to that phone number, but I am disconnected from it.

Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details -> https://appleid.apple.com

(Sidebar) Click Personal Information -> Reachable at -> then edit / update your trusted phone number.
