MMS messages on Mac

I still cannot send SMS messages (to my Android friends) on my Mac (Ventura 13.5.1) I can receive them on the Mac, even in group messages, but not send them; always get a "not delivered" message. I can send and receive SMS on my iPhone (11, 16.6). I've restarted both, clicked and unchecked the iMessage forwarding on my phone. I think I've done everything, all the directions on the Apple support website. I like to use my keyboard to send texts with my 100 wpm fast fingers. Any ideas?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Hello okwhite55,

In order to send SMS from your Mac, It needs to be linked to your iPhone as the Mac doesn't have cellular service. So check out Set up iPhone to get SMS messages on Mac - Apple Support and make sure that your iPhone and Mac are set up properly. It sounds like you may have reviewed this, but we just want to be sure.
