Home pod minis cutting end off songs when playing Apple Music using hey siri

My home pod minis (I have two set up as a stereo pair) cut the end off songs and play a short blast of another song in between that and the next song. This happens primarily when I say ‘hey Siri play some music’. I’ve looked at fixes and people say to download your entire library again but when using hey Siri in this way the music isn’t downloaded. I’ve reset them both, removed and re-added them, restarted them and done any other ‘re’ I could think of. Any ideas?
