So you are getting an error message about not being able to install additional components? Since that is the exact issue the OP in the linked thread reported. In that case, changing the system date should work.
Or are you getting another error message? I've seen lots of recent reports that people are unable to reinstall macOS 10.7 through 10.13 through Internet Recovery Mode where they get an error something like "Recovery server could not be contacted". So far there have been no work arounds for that particular error and so far Apple has not fixed it. Some of the regular forum contributors have advised Apple of the issue about a week ago. Hard to say if Apple will fix it or just ignore the issue.
You are missing some other critical details such as how you are trying to reinstall Lion and as @The_Knowledge_Seeker mentions...the exact model Mac involved. If we knew the exact model Mac, then maybe we could provide other options to install Lion or another version of macOS.
