Apple Watch Randomly Ends Workout in Middle of Run
Just want to bring this up again because I've seen the forums pointing out this glitch for the last 6-7 years, and it happened again today on the treadmill even after I've tried different methods for like 5 years now to prevent it from happening--
During a ~30 minute run that I've been tracking via the Fitness app on my Series 3 Apple Watch, I'll look down at my watch to check my heart rate and every once in a while it will show that the work out was completed anywhere from 8-25 minutes into the run.
I'm usually pretty patient and generally love my apple watch, but there's nothing more infuriating than working your *** off in the midst of a tempo or sprint run and realizing that you can't tell what heart rate zone you're in and that none of it is being logged. Especially because my job requires logging/proof of certain # of hours of exercise to get a decent "wellness discount" for our paycheck.
Some things I've tried but it still happens occasionally:
-I always lock my watch screen before a run because I thought this would prevent it.
-It's not the "accidentally pushing the crown a side button together" like some other forums have suggested because there's no screenshot and the workout is ended not paused.
-I always do open workout not timed so can't be that like some have suggested
-I don't walk at all during the run so it isn't the auto-detection of a slower pace that triggers the watch to end the work out
-I do use the Aaptiv app for audio-coaching for almost every work out, so it may be because of a glitch between the Fitness app and Aaptiv (some forums suggesting this, no solution that I've found on them though), but I'm not willing to stop using Aaptiv because it's great.
