Bluetooth problem on Ventura

Since reinstalling Ventura (13.5.1), my MBP (2019 15") is unable to 'see' my iphone on Bluetooth. The iphone works fine with my other MBP (2012 Catalina). The iphone can see my MBP2019 but says either that my MBP2019 is not compatible or ‘Pairing Unsuccessful. Make sure MBP21019 is turned on, in range and is ready to pair.’ So far, I've deleted the Bluetooth Preferences, reset the PRAM, reset the SMC, unchecked and rechecked Handoff, run ‘sudo killall bluetoothd’, run CleanMyMac… Everything is up to date, but a connection that has worked for several years is now unavailable. Anyone?

Don't worry - I've already binned CMM.

That's good.

FYI, the iphone pairs just fine with my other MBP runnning Catalina.

It's not supposed to. That has never been a supported feature of iOS, nor is it necessary. Continuity and Handoff don't require it. Neither does personal hotspot use.

All that's required is that the devices be using the same iCloud account and in proximity.
