Hoopla stops audio when IPhone screen locks

While using the Hoopla app, my book will stop playing when my screen locks. It also stops playing when I leave the app…it has never done this before.

Try restarting your phone. If that doesn’t fix it contact the app provider.

Apple Books will not play Audiobooks on iphone Phone: iPhone 15 Plus iOS Version: 18.2 Apple Books Version: Apple Books does not have a version listed, but I am not prompted to update in the apple store As you can see from the gif, every time I try to open my audio book and play it, it does not work. It just closes the play tab. The audio book is completely unresponsive. Here is what I have tried so far I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it I deleted the video and re downloaded it I deleted the video, downloaded it on my Mac, and then downloaded it on the app. This seemed to fix things a couple of times but now is not working I only started using apple books a week or so ago, and so far it cannot even play audio books.
