Podcast not updating

I have the Apple Podcast App on my iPhone and on my MacBook Pro. One of the podcasters I follow is "Surviving Narcissism with Dr Les Carter. A friend of mine sent me a link via iMessage to an episode dated August 1 2023. I am unable to access that link because in my version of the podcasts (on both my phone and computer) that program hasn't updated since May 16 2023.

I asked Apple about that and at first they acknowledged they could see the same issue on their end but recently they sent me a note saying that the podcast is functioning as normal. Doesn't seem like a reasonable answer because my friend can access that episode but I can't.

Is there some way I can force the podcast to update?
