How to use slider at bottom of screen and what is it called
I have an iPad Air 4th generation and it does not have a home button . What is the name of the slider the it has ?

Perhaps you refer to the Home Bar?
You can use this to switch between recently used App windows. Simply touch-and-hold - then drag to to the left (or right) 🙂
