This feature stopped working a few weeks ago with my VISA cards. Apple support indicates this could be due to the phone case but even after removing the case it still doesn't work. Is this a known issue on iOs 16.6?

Apple Support would better be able to determine if it’s >a known issue<, but they tend to be tight lipped.
Visa cards, at times, seem to have more issues with Apple Pay, than other issuers.
Have you tried logging out of Apple ID and then logging back into your account? This sometimes restores transactions and history. History on my accounts only shows for about 30 to 45 days.
Thanks Jeff. I have just tried that but it didn't restore my transaction history.
Sometimes it takes a couple days. Make sure your WiFi is on and your iPhone is on.
