My MacBook M1 Pro 14 has lost battery capacity from 95% to 88% in less than two months. There are a total of 145 cycles (from 21.10.22). I haven't noticed any decrease in battery performance.
Why is the capacity dropping so quickly?

All batteries are different and none of them are predictable in their degradation. They are essentially consumables to be replaced when they are no longer performing as designed or desired.
Apple recommends you replace the battery when it drops to 80%. It could remain at 88% for a long time as degradation is not linear.
If you feel this is a warranty issue and the device is still under warranty, have Apple evaluated it hands-on.
