Update your security settings-iphone passcode

I have a red dot on my system settings (iMac running Ventura 13.4.1) asking me to update your security settings- an iPhone passcode protects access to your device and iCloud data. The problem I have is when I click the continue button, nothing happens. I have tried rebooted the computer, no change, and it will not let me change any other settings until this is done. Frustrating.
