Apple Watch downgrade

Why can’t the screen of my Apple Watch turn off and stay off like I’ve had it for years when put in sleep mode with nightstand mode off. It’s annoying and disturbs my sleep. Can’t even use my Apple Watch ultra anymore when I go to bed since the last update. If this is t fixed I’m throwing it out.

Apple watch unpairs when turned off I have a Series 5 apple watch i recently bought from a friend and now it is starting to unpair every time i turn it off. I have updated the watch to 9.3.1 but my XS Max isn’t updated to 16.3.1 yet. Solutions?

Apple Watch Sleep Mode Before this last update, I would put my Apple Watch in Sleep Mode when I went to bed. After a few seconds, the screen would go dark and it would lock. I would have to turn the side button and hold it to wake it up. Now when I put it in Sleep Mode, nothing seems to change. It stays lit and it won't lock. Is this a glitch or did my settings get changed because of the update?

I wouldn’t call having a screen that stays on while in sleep mode an upgrade.
