Removing indent after bullet points

Click on Format > Indentation, Decrease until cursor lands where you want. Also you might need to choose

Format > Body

It just keeps creating more of the previous bullet point.

That's strange. Mine removes the indent, then the bullet when back to the edge.

Shift-tab should back up one level, also.

Click the bullet button.

To format things to your liking, you'd be better served taking notes using Apple's Pages app, or Microsoft Word if you have access to that. In either of these apps you can change the formatting of those bullet points.

Just tap return twice. Or, one more than you need to outdent.
