Multicam Created HUGE Library File

Hi there,

I'm in the middle of editing multiple podcasts and the latest one has done something which I don't understand.

I created a MultiCam clip from 3 cameras and 1 audio file.

When importing the clips into the Library, I've chosen to 'keep files in place' to avoid any duplication and unnecessary loss of HD space.

With the first podcasts I did, the Library file came to around 20gb whereas with this one, for some reason, it's shot up to 220gb! That's really quite the difference.

What might I have done that's causing this?

I did choose to create Proxy files to make the editing easier but I did that the first time round and the Library wasn't anywhere near as huge.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot in advance!

There is a default setting in Editing settings to optimize media in a multicam clip. That might be checked on. Use Delete Generated Files to remove them. If you have playback issues with the multicam create proxies rather than optimized media.
