How to Fix Dashed Circle iTunes

Your basic instructions did not work. What is the reason for the circle with dashes ? Numerous tries does not resolve the issue. I have a new iphone 15 with the largest memory. I have 7,800 songs 3,000 were synced to my iphone. Thr rest have a circle of dashes. Please don't link to the same old info as it dosen't work. Its always worked from my 5 to my last 12. Whats going on please?. Ive been trying to get this done for at leat 8 hours. I have about 80 playlists and only 2 have transferred. When i connected my new 15 i lost the many playlists that had synced from my iphone 12.

This article details the correct way to sync music onto your device through iTunes on your PC. Your posting says iPod but the linked device shows iPad, so we're unsure which is correct but this article will work for iPads and iPods.

We also advise that you restart both iTunes and your PC. In addition, make sure that the songs are playable on your device to assure that they can be played through iTunes.

Try removing all music from the phone (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music > Edit > Delete All Songs) then try syncing again. If that still doesn't work try the comprehensive approach in this post on erratic syncing.
