so i accidentally deleted my imessage thread with my boyfriend and im really upset because our conversations mean a lot to me, i had my iphone messages synced with my ipad and the thread didn’t get deleted on my ipad. is there a way to transfer the thread on my ipad onto my phone? i guess in the long run it’s not a big deal but i’m really sad about it right now

Assuming that both iPad and iPhone are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID, synchronising messages between devices requires that you enable iCloud Messages on both the iPad and iPhone:
Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > [Apps Using iCloud] Show All > Notes > Sync this iPad | iPhone - set to ON
If messages or a conversation is subsequently synchronised between devices, you should be able to recover them from iCloud:
