Airdrop not working

Airdrop shows pictures received and sent but pictures and videos are not showing up in camera roll.

Airdrop only works on iPhone after restart When attempting to transfer photos from my iPhone to my iMac, both machines see the other machine in airdrop. However, when I initiate the transfer, all I ever get is a “waiting” indication from airdrop. The photo never transfers. However, if I restart the iPhone, then AirDrop will work for some period of time, but, never for long. Any help?

Camera Roll:

Just how many photos are there? If it is thousands, then I would expect it to take some time.
