You should pay attention to two commonly overlooked aspects...

1. Configuring device restrictions for your child's device.
2. Setting up a screen time passcode on your own device for your child.

2. Then Start Screen Time on your Device.

If the Child's device is giving an option to press the "1 minute more" then that says the Screen Time is misconfigured.

I have the same issue. I have configured the screen time as indicated in this post and my child continue to by pass it and turn it off using this glitch. Can apple realize this is really happening and try to find a solution?
