my MacBook Air is not asking macOS upadate

I have MacBook Air 1466 model brought in 2017 it is not asking for macOS update for 3 years or so what are the steps that I can update my mac

The MacBook Air with the Model number A1466 is a 2012 version of the MacBookAir .


If this computer is presently running macOS 10.15 Catalina - that is the last version of macOS this computer Qualifies to run


macOS Big Sur is compatible with these computers - Apple Support (CA)


You may have purchased it in 2017 but that does not mean it is a 2017 Model sadly to report


The MacBook Air from 2017 has the Model number A1488
