On my iPhone (it has happened for years across multiple phones) I get the following message pop up whenever i go into Phone or Contacts:
Password Incorrect
Enter the password for the Exchance account "<my company name>"
I have Googled this multiple times and have now deleted Exchange/Outlook off my phone, deleted the VPN certificate and even Mail. AND IT STILL POPS UP! Anybody got any ideas.....PLEASE????? :)

Goto Settings > Contacts > Accounts and check if the account is still available. If it’s available, turn off contacts

The2introverts, I LOVE YOU! Thank you! Your solution worked. I have been struggling with this for a couple of years. Everyone else kept referring to Mail and Accounts and I had deleted those ages ago. No one else has ever mentioned the Contact -> Accounts.

Go to Settings>Mail>Accounts, find the Exchange account, tap on it, then tap on "Delete Account".
