view file extensions in search results

As I perform Search in my Finder App in iMac 27" Y2017 with OSX Ventura 13.4.1 I can't see any file extensions as they are made visible always in Finder App (Finder Settings -> Show all filename extensions). How to change it so I could see all file extensions in search results in Finder?

Reported the issue to Apple Support and finally they asked me to wait till next update release. However, the Apple Support could not assured me whether the issue would be addressed in the next release definitely or not. Are you also facing the same issue on your Mac with Ventura 13.3.1?

How to stop Numbers files from appending filename extension MacOS Sequoia 15.4 using Numbers 14.4. Some, but not all of my Numbers files keep reverting to show filename extensions. In Finder, I have the Show All Filename Extensions box unchecked. It has remained unchecked and most of my files show that the Hide Extension box is checked when looking at Get Info. However, on two files the Hide Extension box is unchecked. When I check it, after a couple of minutes, it unchecks itself. These files are old and have saved for years without issue, but now are defaulting to show a filename extension despite the Finder settings. This started about a week or two ago. I have compared Get Info between "normal" Numbers files and these other files that show extensions. All info is near identical except for the Hide Extension box. They are located the same (on Desktop, shared in iCloud). I can create a new Numbers document and copy paste each tab from the Extension showing file to the new file. I then delete the old file and just save the new one as the old file name. Everything is now fine; that's the workaround. But I'd really like to know why these few files are refusing to keep the Hide Extension option.

File Extensions are reappearing after iCloud sync Hi. I have file extensions hidden in Finder. If I edit a file and save, after a while, the file extension appears in Finder, and I have to re-hide it via the info pane for the file. It seems to happen when the file is synced with iCloud, and has been downloaded on my other macOS device. The file extension remains hidden until I edit the file again. The behaviour is the same on both Mac mini 2023 and MacBook Air 2024, file extensions are visible on both machines, regardless of which machine has edited the file. Both running Sequoia 15.4. It's been going on for a while, not just the latest update. Seems to happen with any file type, certainly I've seen it on .rft, .pages, .numbers...

Seems like you said you've done this but in case you missed this step in Finder, Choose Settings > Advanced > enable the top item called, "Show all filename extensions"

Also, the most up to date version of Ventura is now 13.5.1
