Sharing and Editing Photos

My wife and I just came back from a vacation. She took a lot of pictures using her iPhone that I want to put into my Photos library and I may want to edit them as well. There are about 150 pictures in total.

What is the most efficient way to do that? Should she create an album and invite me? If she does that, in order for me to be able to edit them, I’ll have to import them to my library.

I don’t know if this is the best way to do this, or if there is a better, more efficient way to share the photos.

Thank you for your help.

Here's how I would approach that:

1 - connect your wife's iPhone to your Mac (do the necessary "trusting" required) with a USB cable.

2 - launch Image Capture.

3 - select the photos on her phone that you want to use.

4 - import them into your library where you can edit them as needed.

Note: be sure to not delete them from the iPhone after the import is completed.
