Mac screen rotation

I saw a few people asking about screen rotation on the new mac updates with no solutions and thought I would shed some light on it.

Here are the steps:

  • Click the  menu in the top left of your screen and hold down the option key.
  • Whilst holding down the option key click on system settings.
  • Continue holding down the option key and go to displays.

In the displays tab towards the bottom you should find the 'Rotation' selection.

This should allow you to change your screen rotation without any third-party software such as DisplayLink Manager.

Hope this helps!

You don't actually need to hold down the option key until you get to Settings. By default, Settings opens to "Appearance". Once Settings opens, press the option key and select "Displays"

Just a comment. On my Macs holding the option key when selecting the  menu changes "System Settings…" to "System Information…" and doesn't open System Settings but System Information.
