Notes scanned document - save to files missing

OK - so we just went through an Apple system update - I used to be able to flawlessly save my scanned documents from the Notes App into my google drive. (I used one note for a multiple number of separate scanned documents) - each one would be individually saved into my google drive to stay organized (Once these were saved I would then delete the note and repeat when needed). Now it is fumble and I can't seem to get things to perform like before. Any pointers here.
