I seem to be experiencing "a loop" of steps when trying to update my payment method

What if the app was free and now all of a sudden it decided to just charge me even after I deleted the app months ago the app probably lasted 2 minutes after being downloaded. it has caused a “billing problem” now and is just giving me loops of the same thing. verification please sign in, I sign in, update card payment, I put my card, next verification again, sign in, update card payment AGAIN. I’m not sure why I’m being charged for the app in the first place. My billing is correct, my cards on file are active and up to date on everything. I did remove them due to this billing issue and now to the fact that the app wants to keep charging me for a purchase I did not make.

Was there a subscription associated with the app? This support article explains how to cancel a subscription from Apple on an Apple mobile device, Mac, PC, and online ➔ If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support , or this video will only tell you how to do it on an iPhone ➔ https://www.youtube.com/watch/XXx-J-ueCtE

Notes:

• You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

• If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew. An "Expires" date (instead of "Renews") means the current subscription will just run until then. "Resubscribe" is just in case you change your mind about having it end.

Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.

If you don’t cancel trials more than 24 hours before your renewal date, your subscription might renew.

• If you don't have an Apple device, see the options near the bottom of the support document.

• Many subscriptions are set to renew automatically until you intentionally cancel them.

The app was free, no monthly trial and it does not show up on subscriptions as active or inactive. I downloaded it for a minute or 2 and deleted it. Didn’t buy anything off it. It’s a dating app that had popped up I just downloaded it to see it but I saw it was full of fake profiles and you had to pay to message people which was dumb so deleted it. Now out of the blue, 2 months later it decided to charge me $5.99 with taxes $6.48 for I’m not even sure what for.
