iPhone will not connect to remote DVR

I have had this DVR working for several years. Prior to getting an IPhone 12 I always had Android phones. I have an older IPad as well. The android phone always did and still will connect with no issues as welll as my older IPad. I have tried several different apps on the IPhone but nothing will connect. I can ping the address from my iPhone. What am I missing ?

The app shows the rotating dots and the message searching. I have powered both devices off and on. Both have the latest iOS / TViOS. iPhone is connected via WiFi on home router and AppleTV is connected to the same router/network. iPhone has access to cellular data and network. Both devices have Bluetooth on and I have tried to pair them with no success. Both worked fine before the iOS 17 installation. iPhone asks me if this is the Bedroom or the Living Room AppleTV it should connect to, so the old information should be there. No VPN running.

Screen mirroring works, cannot connect my iPhone to use as a remote no Wi-Fi I have an AppleTV. Have had it for years. Moved to a new location with a new wifi. The remote is gone and can’t seem to be able to pair my iPhone with said AppleTV. It doesn’t pop up in my phone’s Bluetooth. But the Home Screen is on the display of the TV screen. So it’s connected and has power but I have no control.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the DVR and asking them how to connect?

They don’t respond either. I have had this system for many years. I don’t know why it will work with everything except the newer apple devices. It communicates with everything else.
