Why can't icloud upgrade for windows 14.2?

Yes. I am. But I have nothing to be “upgraded.” I get the

same error every time I try to run iCloud (after the first time). Running

Windows 10 here. iCloud version installed is 14.2.0.122.

But I see something wrong here. Win 10’s Programs and

Features is showing this app as “iCloud for Outlook.” Dead wrong on that. I never

installed this. I installed the iCloud for WINDOWS app from the Microsoft

Store.

Confirmation of something VERY wrong here. I interrupted the

iCloud installer and once again I see “iCloud Outlook Support.”

This is Apple’s error, not Microsoft’s.

BTW, I installed iCloud to run "iCloud Bookmarks" in Chrome. Install process through Apple bounced me to Microsoft store to download iCloud.

Running "fix" didn't work. Now Win 10 has the uninstall button grey'd out.

SOLVED

I solved my problem with "Icloud can't upgrade for windows 14.2".

I ran Malwarebytes:Adwcleaner and it found files named Tencent, dospop.com, and incredibar.com . I quarantined these files and the popup quit appearing on my computer screen.

I don't know which one was the problem but my problem is over.

Bought a new 15 Promax & my iCloud backup was corrupted. Lost some contacts etc.

Says I need to download update buy won't let me upgrade iCloud for windows 14.2 error 101
