Pairing a new case with your AirPods Pro

I bought an Apple AirPods Pro 2nd gen case after losing my case, but the new AirPods will not pair to the case and my iPhone. I followed the instructions several times but it did not work. What are the next trouble shooting steps?

If you're having trouble pairing your new case and AirPods with your iPhone, here are some steps you can try:

1. Reset AirPods:

- Place your AirPods in the new case.

- Open the lid and press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light on the front of the case flashes white.

- Release the button and the status light should start blinking amber.

- Place the case near your iPhone and follow the on-screen instructions to pair.

2. Check Battery Charge:

- Make sure both your new AirPods case and your iPhone are charged.

- The new AirPods case should ideally have some charge before pairing.

3. Ensure Bluetooth is On:

- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone. You can check this in the Control Center or in the Settings app under Bluetooth.

4. Forget Existing AirPods:

- If your iPhone still has the previous AirPods device in its Bluetooth settings, you might need to forget that device first before pairing the new ones.

- Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find the previous AirPods device, and tap the "i" icon next to it, then tap "Forget This Device".

5. Restart iPhone:

- Sometimes, a simple restart of your iPhone can help resolve Bluetooth pairing issues.

6. Update iOS:

- Ensure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Sometimes compatibility issues can arise with older iOS versions.

7. Check Compatibility:

- Ensure that your new AirPods case is indeed compatible with your AirPods Pro. There might be slight variations between different generations of cases.

8. Contact Apple Support:

- If none of the above steps work, it might be a good idea to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can guide you through the troubleshooting process or provide additional solutions.

Remember, it's important to follow the specific instructions for your AirPods model and your iPhone's iOS version. If you're still experiencing difficulties, reaching out to Apple Support would likely be the best course of action.
