Mac Music App Keeps trying load cloud library
I have all iCloud music sync settings off, at least I did before they removed the settings for it, which is much less intuitive than the last version. I'm not sure why apple is seeking to make things less intuitive.
My problem is that when I subscribed to music it converted all of my songs to lossless. Great, but now that I ended my subscription I cannot play any music, dragging them back in manually doesn't do anything, so I deleted the whole library and files on my iMac HD. Now when I open Music it just says loading cloud library and does nothing. I DO NOT want cloud library anymore. I did at one point disable it before my subscription was canceled and everything was fine, nowhere in system settings or app settings, or iCloud settings, or iPhone settings has a place to turn this off anymore. There is no longer a Music section in iCloud anywhere. I am not happy that apple hijacked my music to begin with, if apple converted my music to lossless they can revert it back since my original files were still on my HD at the time and I paid for them, and over the years ripped them from disc myself. This is a huge mistake apple and it's not something I agreed on.
Does anyone know how to stop the Music app on Mac from trying to sync the now missing cloud library? I want to just drag all my music back manually (although I lost all the apple purchased ones now too).
I am going to demand to speak with the music app developers to have this changed or I'm never using an apple product again, but until then I can't even play music because I can't even get my own files into music anymore. So frustrating. Any help is greatly appreciated.
