I tried to delete a fingerprint and it deleted that with the settings to use Touch ID whatsoever.

Touch ID is no longer in setting on my iMac. I do I retrieve Touch ID?
you can delete a fingerprint, but you cannot delete the feature
if your device has a touch Id then go to settings, touch id & passcode, then add a fingerprint
if your device does mot have a touch id, meaning not having a button which scans your finger, then the setting does not exist
actually the Touch ID icon and command has since been removed completely from my settings. Touch ID did work, ceased, I then deleted the print and now all is gone.
