How to lock dock on external montitor

I have a Macbook Pro using Ventura 13.4.1. I have an external monitor that is my main monitor so I want the dock at the bottom of it all the time. But sooner or later the dock moves to the Macbook. I can only find information on locking the dock to the laptop but I want the opposite.

How to lock dock to a selected monitor? When I use the Displays settings to assign the dock to my middle monitor, it keeps moving around to other monitors. I've already read through the suggestions on threads here. Things I've tried include: Using the drag-down motion to pop the dock back onto the middle monitor (it seems to work about 2 out of 10 times, but only when I don't want it to) Setting "Displays have separate Spaces" and logging out Moving the dock back to the middle monitor via settings (when I switch it to this monitor, it automatically moves back to the MacBook native display) This is extremely frustrating and it seems like every "fix" is temporary or broken, and the threads are all locked. How do I permanently lock the dock to one monitor so it never moves again?

Fixing Dock on primary monitor on top of my Macbook Hi there, I have a 2021 Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.1. When I set my Macbook under my LG primary screen, I can't get the dock to appear on my LG primary monitor. It works fine, when I place the mac left or right to the screen. Then I can also use the rectangle in the displays setting and switch the dock from my mac to the LG and back. But as soon as I position the Mac under the screen and adjust this in the settings, the dock stays on the Mac. Can anyone help me out with this how to get the dock on my primary screen on top? Thanks!

are you using extended desktop?

In that setup, the Dock appears on the designated (lowest or leftmost or rightmost) edge of the Primary Display (the one assigned the menubar) UNLESS the desktop is Extended beyond that edge, in which case the Dock appears on the edge of the Extended Desktop.

Is that different from what you want?
