App store holdout

I’ve been trying to make my phone secure. I must have pushed something wrong because now when i try to install an app to my Home Screen it won’t work. I have to go to App Store to access the apps. What happened?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Try this:

Use App Library to search the app you are looking for, see -> Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone -> Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone - Apple Support

If you have find the app, tap & hold on the app, then drag to the Home screen & drop it.
