Widget "albums" from photos

It is not possible to to set the albums widget on the Home Screen to anything different from the "for you" items. You would have to edit the memories to show only people and hope, that the widget will show you your edited memories.

I am using the previous version of "Widgetsmith" to create a photo widget with an arbitrary album from my library. I am not sure, if the current version can do this. The new version of the app now requires a subscription for some services.

Are you asking about the widgets on a Mac or an iPhone or iPad?

"Home Screen" is suggesting an iPhone or iPad. On the ipHone you can select people for the lock screen, but the Photos widget "Albums" seems to be limited to Memories and "For You" photos. You may need to edit the memories to adapt them to your needs.

I am having the opposite problem - to keep photos from putting random images of people onto the home screen. Frequently it is picking the worst shots that I do not want to see the whole day long. So I am using photos from the Nature collection.
