How do you know that the remote is being charged?

There is no light to advise that aluminum cased appletv remote is being charged up. So how can I determine if a USB-C cord or the remote is working?

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 16

If you have an iPhone running the same Apple ID and on the same internet as the TV box, you can use the Remote Control that is built into your phone. It can do EVERYTHING that the aluminum controller can do. 😉

The easiest way to get to the remote control inside your iPhone, is to open the Control Center (drag down the screen starting from the upper right corner).

So stupid. If the remote is not charged how do you get to the settings to monitor it??

You don't. I asked a similar question on the phone. My remote died. So I charged it on the computer. On older Apple TV remotes would show power levels on the computer instead not the newest Apple TV. It's the Apple TV or nothing
