undo suddenly unavailable Logic Pro X 10.5

I am suddenly unable to undo in Logic Pro X version 10.5!! I've just accidentally dragged a guitar track onto the drum track and not only is everything out of sync, the f'ing drum track it was dragged over is now gone. This is completely unacceptable for a 'Pro' software and has completely screwed this project and I'm on a timeline. (Please refrain from "should've done"s and other useless, unhelpful comments.) I am not a new user, have used macs since 1997, and have never seen undo not available in even the most basic of programs.

If someone has a pro solution, please advise. Apple, I expect a response.

This is a user forum. Apple is not here.

I've never heard of a case that Undo is unavailable, unless the Undo Steps requested are higher than those saved.

• You could go to File > Revert To ... and look for auto-backup versions.

For the future

• Increase the number of Undo steps: Logic Pro > Preferences > General > Editing > Number Of Undo Steps...

• Increase the number of Auto Backups: Logic Pro > Preferences > General > Project Handling > Auto Backup ...

Thank you for your response. (There seemed be a significant delay in me seeing it) Your input and advice is good, however, this was some sort of bug. I was only requesting one level of undo and there were no options. I adjusted settings as above, tried everything, but nothing. I ended up having to piece things back together by hand and re-record bits. A rather sucky situation to be in and there's nothing I could do about it. I just need to back up frequently and pray the "bug" doesn't return.

As far as Apple being here - I only mentioned that because I had just finished reading a response from someone on the forum that claimed they were from Apple and wanted to help resolve that issue, so I just assumed they watched these things. Must have been a one-off.

Thanks again for responding; it's helpful even if it doesn't fix the issue. It's good to know that people read and respond to these.
