How to Change All-Day Events to Timed Events on iPhone Calendar

It is common that I add iCalendar events as All-day events when the times are TBD. Today iCalendar is limiting my edit to only changing the date, there isn't an option to set a time. The All-day toggle doesn't show and it seems my only option is to delete and re-enter the entire event. am I missing something?

My problem is that the All-day toggle doesn't show. Crazy, there are many occasions when it does show and others when it doesn’t. I’m wondering what I might be doing differently when I’m adding an event that causes the event to not include that option. Any thoughts?

Are these events in the iPhone "Apple" calendar and not in in another service such as Google or Microsoft ?

I'm suspecting that those events are not "Apple Calendar" events and thus do not provide the ability to view/uncheck the "All-Day" setting.

It’s not entries from emails, they are my entries. Some of my own entries show the All-day toggle and for an unknown reason, some other All-day events I enter do not show the All-day toggle when I try to Edit my All-day calendar event time.
