Cannot enable ipad in Audio MIDI Setup

* macOS 13.5 Ventura

* iPad Air 5 - iPadOS 16.5.1

Ever since updating to the latest versions of the OS's, I have found that that I cannot "Enable" my iPad in the Audio MIDI Setup utility app. The app just hangs saying "Enabling...". Moreover, once this has occurred, I find that the Code Audio which I depend on using Bitwig Studio 5.0.4, completely fails.

My iPad is connected to my Mac Mini M1 via an Apple Thunderbolt cable via a CalDigit Station 4 Thunderbolt Hub...
