Each time I purchased a mac somehow all of my files were uploaded again to iCloud and I am now out of iCloud storage space.
Since I did not realize this was happening until recently, I do not know which files I edited and which are just duplicates and can be disposed of.
Any ideas on how to find the duplicates in iCloud? I have to start weeding out files.

i have used icloud a wile back and i had the message wile uploading music files. and ask "SKIP DUPLICATES ?"
i hit YES. and all went oke..
now 2024 mei,, did same thing but did not get this option anymore when uploading to same folder so now it ads a number "2" to same name and now have 2 of same files.. SO.. ME TO have same **** problem suddenly.. what has change ..i don't know..
You can search for duplicates in iCloud Drive folder on your Mac. Sort by name, size, etc. Or, find a good duplicate finder app to use.
i don't have a mac. i have a IPAD PRO m1 12.9 inch . and therer and on pc is NO OPTION to do this
