Why can’t I log in with Apple ID

For some reason I can’t log in in iMessage with my Apple ID

iPad, iPadOS 15

If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime read this support article --> If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

- Note the sections at the bottom about "Still not activated...?" and "Get more help."

Are you getting any error messages such as "waiting for activation" or "an error occurred during activation" or any other notification showing in that area?
