iphone apple pay it says hold near reader but wont connect to reader

credit card on apple pay ready for use but phone wont connect with store reader.

Apple pay doesn’t!work on iphone 15 pro When I attempt to use Apple Pay, everything seems to work as expected initially. I hover my phone over the contactless reader, and I can see my credit card on the screen, just as I would anticipate. However, the problem arises when my phone prompts me to "hold near the reader" – it never triggers the wireless payment. I've never had an issue with this in the past and I've tried at over 5 places.

Apple Pay does not work on my Apple Watch Apple Pay on my watch works. I mean the program comes up but it won’t recognize the card reader and authorize my purchase yet when I use my iPhone not a problem at all.
