iPad backups

I have two iPads with the same Apple ID the photos and documents being saved to iCloud are identical. Is it ok to turn the backup off on one so I can just keep my free 5G space and not purchase more.

iCloud backup size confusion on iPhone I’m currently unable to backup my phone to iCloud. It currently shows 4.8gb used out of the available 5gb. The existing backup is showing as 3.8gb. If I select “delete and turn off backup “ option, can I create a new backup straight away? I have all the photos and data on my phone that I need to backup. I have also turned off the apps that were using iCloud that I do not want to backup in the next backup. The thing that is confusing me is that it says next backup size +13.84gb. will deleting icloud backup make me loose everything on my new phone hi! i recently changed from my old iphone to my new iphone 12 and my old iphone backup is using up 1.5 GB of my storage. if i delete and turn off the backups of my old iphone will i loose everything like my photos, contacts, information etc on my new iphone? Or will everything stay the same and my storage will just go down? thanks

Each iCloud device backup includes settings and any locally stored data - but excludes any data stored in, or synchronised with, iCloud. Armed with this knowledge, only you can determine whether or not turning-off any device backup is an acceptable risk.
