final cut pro zoom out not working

Zoom in was not working. So I trashed the preferences by clicking Opt Cmd while starting FCP. It solved the problem for the zoom in but now, it is the zoom out that is not working and for the workflow, this is really not convenient.

I went into my commands and it is well written that it is cmd - for the zoom out. However, when I press these commands, it is not working. When I use the opt z key, the zoom out is kind of working. Up to a certain point. (I know it stupid but would it be possible that the fact that I am now editing in 4K cause the problem?). My image used to be able to be much smaller on the timeline than it actually is and I could see much more shots on my timeline. Thank you in advance for your help.

Whoever told you to not update is not informed. 10.7.1 runs beautifully on M series chips. I do it daily, no issues.

If it happens again, go to System Settings (Apple menu, not FCP), Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts, click Restore Defaults. I've seen that fix many, many keyboard issues in person. Because macOS shortcuts override (and can conflict with) app shortcuts.
